The Society of the Spectacles is a organisation that expresses their love and appreciation for Iconic eyewear.

As part of an exhibition titled ‘Strelnicov’s Glasses and Other Stories’, we were asked, along with a number of other designers, artists and creatives, to choose a film, and visually respond to it.

The film chosen was ‘American Psycho’, because of the business card face-off scene where Patrick Bateman and his affiliates aim to outdo each other with their fancy cards.

Throughout the film, Patrick Bateman is constantly mistaken for other character’s in the story. In response to this, we made an identikit that uses different parts of the face’s of the characters to create a new character. This also raises questions that tie in later in the film, when Bateman isn’t quite sure if he did infact carry out those gruesome murders.
